Dear Dr. Raja: I agree that reducing consumption in high consumption societies is as critically important to our future as is reducing human population growth. Along these lines I have patented several products designed to encourage walking and bicycling instead of automobile usage. It is interesting that you are originally from the south Indian state of Kerala. I have read several glowing articles about the population stabilization, literacy and quality of life (not material wealth) achievements Kerala.
