Re: OLD-GROWTH TERM



The term may have originated with some of the late-70s early 80s
environmental groups, or perhaps with Jerry Franklin and Chris
Maser, respectively US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Manage-
ment biologists who examined the ecological properties of what
they termed old-growht forests in the early part of the 1980s.
