After a serious windthrow in Canterbury, New Zealand in 1975, the then
New Zealand Forest Service stored significant volumes of conifer logs
under sprinklers for an extended period. The name I associate with
this project (which was, I understand, successful) was Norm Clifton.
I believe he is now retired. Can anyone provide further information?
(Personal note: Due to recent recurring problems with our
communications links I do not receive all messages posted to the list
or to me individually. My apologies for any inconvenience caused).
