     Further to Scott Needham's request for information on several
     technologies, a place to start might be the Forest Resources Systems
     Institute's (FORS) special issue of "The Compiler" which contained the
     "Electronic Data Recorder and GPS Buyer's Guide" (Vol 13, no. 4,
     Winter 1995).The same issue includes some other articles that may be
     of interest, e.g."Woodlands Data Recorders at MacMillan Bloedel" by
     John Grods, etc.

     You might also be interested in FORS' "1995 Directory of Forestry and
     Natural Resources Computer Software".
