The MORTON ARBORETUM's Research Department seeks a plant breeder to develop an outstanding program of plant improvement, selection, propagation, and hybridization, emphasizing woody plant species, cultivars, and varieties hardy in the upper Midwest United States. The successful candidate must have a PhD in dendrology, horticulture, plant genetics, or a related field and must have a demonstrated interest in breeding of woody plants. Postdoctoral experience and a good knowledge of statistics are desirable. The Morton Arboretum is a 690 hectare woody plant museum in suburban Chicago.
