SAS Fundamentals I Workshop description: The objective of this three-day workshop is to enable the users of scientific data or data management with an introduction to SAS Software usage. This microcomputer-based course (Windows only) consists of lecture and class exercise sessions utilizing ecological and physiological data examples. The first of a two-part workshop series, SAS Fundamentals I introduces the basic programming skills with emphasis in data management to enable the user to enter, manipulate, and examine data sets in order to adapt existing SAS data sets including: sort, transpose, subset, combine/merge data. Additionally, selected programming techniques (DO loops, ARRAYS, MACRO, etc.); produce tables & plots; calculate summary statistics and output/print data. SAS Fundamentals II is a separate 3-day workshop with specific instruction in common statistical descriptive and analytic procedures. The cost per workshop is $300.
