James L. > Brewbaker, University of Hawaii. brewbake@hawaii.edu Dear Sir, The answer to your first question is yes, if we allow posting to the mailing list to members only it would cut the subscribe messages off. However, much bigger problem seem to be the UNSUBSCRIBE messages (like Yours) which pour into the list no matter how often and much I try to "educate" the subscribers who already SHOULD know how to unsubscribe. I repeat, the unsubscribe messages should be sent to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.FUNET.FI If this fails, write to FOREST-REQUEST@LISTSERV.FUNET.FI More instructions are available at the list archive WWW page: http://www.metla.fi/archive/forest/ I will not comment on your opinion of the content of the forest list. I simply disagree. It does not require further comments. That's all. Jarmo Saarikko the listowner (forest-request@listserv.funet.fi)
