I must apologize for upsetting your delicate constitution.

Here at our office, offers of such 'deals' are common. The genuine ones
are very clear-cut. Full name & corporate address, complete with contact
numbers, are provided. The offer in question has all the hallmark of a
'con-job' which we have seen once too often. My intention was to call his
'bluff'. But it seems to have been misunderstood here.

It is unfortunate that foresters esp. from the west often do not see eye
to eye with those in the timber trade sector. This is more so if one is
from the developing countries. Maybe, this accounts for the small
representation from these countries on this list. Not that they
are without access to e-mails or even the Internet.

Maybe it's time for another list to be created as a forum for those in
the timber trade.

Read more about the timber trade eg. the Timber Trades Journal (UK),
Tropical Timbers (UK), & ITTO Tropical Forest Update. Perhaps then you will
be less jaundiced with prejudice, evenif, your hands are still lily-white.
And have less axes to grind. :)
