Master of Science (Forestry) - scholarship The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (Victoria, Australia) is offering a scholarship for a postgraduate student to undertake a Master of Science (Forestry) by research at the Australian National University. The research will be in the area of tree ring analysis in mixed species eucalypt forests. The project is designed to: 1) investigate tree ring and tree index patterns for mixed species stands 2) develop procedures for estimating age of trees The successful applicant will be based at A.N.U. but will also be collecting data from field locations in Victoria's north-east and using the facilities of DCNR in Victoria. Applicants should hold a B.Sc.(for)(hons) or equivalent. Applicants should be prepared to begin work early in 1996. The stipend is $18,000/annum.
