ASAE has an active Forest Engineering group with members
from private industry, the US Forest Service, and academia.
Forest Engineers apply knowledge of science, mathematics,
and technology to design machines, systems, and processes
that meet society's many demands of forest ecosystems.
Particular areas of interest include road-building and
transportation, harvesting and silvicultural technology, and
forest landscape planning and design.
