NEW WAY TO SAVE TREES

Hello fellow environmentalists! This message is from ARK, the non-profit
Australian environmental education group.

Ever wondered how we can reduce the billions (literally!) of Xmas cards
that we send around the world every year? Have you thought of how many
trees this kills?

Well, ARK has a possible solution to this particular problem and it's
downloadable free from www.click.com.au/ark

It's the world's first multi-media interactive Xmas card and it's made by
Aussie environmental group ARK and Radiant, a Sydney-based software house.
It's the only multi-media Xmas card that you can download to your own
computer and send to your Net friends on Xmas day!

So why have we done it and who are we?

Well, I'm the head of ARK, Australia's biggest environmental education group.

As a non-profit, we run a major Xmas card recycling campaign in Australia
every year called 'Cards 4 ARK'. Last year, from Australia's population of
18 million people, we recycled over 30 million cards - this year we hope to
get even more, saving thousands of trees in the process.

As a major favour to ARK, could you let all of your Net friends know about
the site and download from it to your hearts content over the coming
festive season? We only finished the cards last night, but they're
available in both Mac and IBM format and there'll be more coming next year.
The cards are a lot of fun and ARK hopes that you'll like them too!

PLEASE COPY THIS MESSAGE IN TO ANY OTHER LISTS THAT YOU ARE ON. We'd
appreciate your help in getting the message out there - over the coming
years, we hope that this idea will catch on and saves thousands of trees in
the process!

Have a happy new year and keep up your great work saving the planet -
someone's got to do it and it might as well be us!!
