Dear Stacey,

I believe you are confusing the National Park System with the lands managed
by the
US Forest Service. I realize many do not understand the difference between
the US Park Service and the US Forest Service.

The US Forest Service does not administer the Wrangell-St Elias wilderness area.

The US Forest Service does administer 2.3 million hectares of wilderness in
Alaska.
I belive you can find forests on much of this area.

It is true that the US Forest Service administers 1.5 million hectares of
grasslands
and I do not know how much of the USFS grasslands are also in wilderness areas.
