The Smithsonian Institution/Man and the Biosphere Biodiversity
Program announces two training opportunities for 1996.
1. Biodiversity measuring and monitoring - in residence certification
training - 12 May - 14 June 1996. S4,000.  Applications due 1 March 96
2. Biodiversity monitoring at permanent plots - in residence
certification - 9-20 September 1996. S1,900. Applic. due 1 July 96.
Both will be taught at the Conservation and Research Center, Front
Royal, Virginia, USA.  Tuition covers food, lodging, local
transportation, books and materials, and use of field and lab
equipment.
