Position Available:
Assistant Professor of Quantitative Silviculture/Applied
Biometrics,
Oregon State University, Corvallis.
Twelve-month, full-time, tenure-track appointment; approx.
half-time teaching, half-time research. Salary commensurate
with experience/qualifications. Requires PhD in
silviculture, forest biometrics, or closely allied field
with strong statistics background in hand by time of
employment, anticipated to be May 1, 1996. Seeking qualified
applicants to provide balanced program of instruction and
research in silviculture, biometrics, and other quantitative
subjects in forestry. Teaching duties include undergraduate,
graduate, and continuing education courses in silviculture
or mensuration, general forestry, and related subjects.
Research involves quantitative silviculture or applied
biometrics with an emphasis on forest types native to the
interior Pacific Northwest. Participation is expected in
College and University functions and other professional
