We are a paper company in northern Minnesota.  We have been working for several
years on establishing plantations of intolerant hardwoods (mostly improved aspen
and hybrid aspen).  One problem is the need for 2-3 years of competition free
conditions for the seedling to become established.  We are interested in opening
a dialogue with someone who has knowledge of innovative vegetation control
methods (other than mechanical/chemical), such as mulch mats, cover crops, etc.
