Dear members of forest-list,

To what extent sowing (seeding) of pine is used outside
Scandinavia? I'm mainly interested in Scots pine but I'll
appreciate any references or information about sowing of pine
(how widely it is used, techniques, studies about the growth and yield of
sown seedlings, and studies about the timber quality of sown seedling
stands).
