Description:
12-month, tenure track position. Salary commensurate with
qualifications. Duties include participating in the Department's
teaching, research, and service programs in the field of silviculture
with emphasis on the silviculture of the southern pines.
Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education courses in
the area of silviculture; develop a strong graduate education program
in silviculture and a strong research program in pine silviculture;
provide advice on silvicultural issues of concern to the Department
and its constituents.
Requirements:
Ph.D. and at least one degree in forestry. Expertise in ecology,
stand dynamics, or management of conifer systems is highly desirable.
