Sorry for cross-postings.

My department is going to obtain software packages for biological data
analyses on DOS, Windows (better) or Windows NT platforms. I have seen
only old STATGRAPHIC package. It looks very useful. But I cannot get any
information on price and licensing. We need 6 licences at least.

I will appreciate information on:

Different software packages useful for data analyses (low cost or public
domain software is preferred), short description of its possibilities,
price and the address of re-seller.
