The American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing has
announced a pre-publication sale of its soon-to-be "published" CD-ROM
on Earth Observing Platforms & Sensors, which as I understand, will
be one "volume" in the new Manual of Remote Sensing. The CD-ROM was
compiled by Stanley Morain and Amelia Budge. "It provides a unique
resource to study the platforms and sensors that observe the Earth.
Starting with the early 60s and projected to 2010, the ROM descrives
satellites and aircraft with a focus on atmospheric, geophyical and
Earth resources. It is in a Windows architecture. The Presale price
is as follows- students S79 U.S.; ASPRS members S99 U.S., and
Non-members S174 US. After 1 Sept. 1995. the price goes to S99, 149
and 224 respectively.
