There has been some interest in a few general enquiries (one sent by me) that have raised some issues of net etiquette and the amount of "junk mail" we all receive. I have been forwarding responses to my request for information regarding land management by NGO's to Sandra Hodge. Now that there seems to be even more interest I will compile all the responses sent to me into one file which I will post in a few days (to allow for straggling respondents). I also put the query on another list, the responses to which forest-netters would not see even if responses were sent to that whole list. Given the amount of time and effort a query can save, it seems that those making them should be willing to take the 10-15 minutes compile a master file of responses (service provided for services rendered). Thus, the network is not cluttered with 20 short messages that may or may not be of interest to more than one person, but the information will be available. I have received over half a dozen responses to my query about land management by environmental NGO's from all over the world. Stay tuned. I will post the master file in a few days.
