Dear Sir,
The confirmation is simply for your protetion, that others will not
get to hamper with your subscription settings. A simple reply of
two letters "OK" to the confirmation request is usually enough.
I have to do the same ritual, when removing someone from the list...
Dear Subscribers, to avoid further junk-mail on the list, (which
costs $$$ to others, too) please, send all your complaints or requests
to "forest-request@listserv.funet.fi".
