Bob I'm from Honduras and undergraduate student in U of I. I
have been working with COHDEFOR and still I have my job there, I hope so.
You can talk about your query with Tomas Mendoza through the phone
number (504) 22-2614 and this number is the same for sendind a fax.
Tomas Mendoza is the COHDEFOR National Forest Coordinator.
I would like to add, really, we don't have artificial forest with
goals to produce plywood. Must of the havesting activities by private
Co. are in native hardwood. Harvesting the natural forest is sad but it
is more worrying that we are not doing anything to recover the
harvested areas. What do you think about to open the way to promote a
North American Co. for making forest Management in Honduras? I had the
experience observing as "Weyerhaeser" is doing,.... yes at the Olympia
forestland.
I will try to obtain the another address...ujummm from Colombia I
know someone fron there here.
