World of Planted Forests in 4 Days!

THE NEXT BEST THING TO WORLD TRAVEL

If you have always wanted to take a world forestry tour but haven't
been able to afford the time and money read this message.

There is a symposium being held in Portland OR June 28-July 1 1995
that offers you the opportunity to "visit" planted forests all around
the US and World.  A once in a life-time opportunity!

Never before has such a world-wide comprehensive symposium on
planted forests been held.  There are over 60 speakers scheduled,
representing in excess of a dozen countries.  In addition there will
be poster and vendor exhibits from over 50 participants.

The Forest species we will "visit" inlcude:

Wet and Dry Tropics--Julian Evans, British Forestry Commission
Eucalyptus--John Turnbull, Center for International Forestry Research
Loblolly Pine--Bob Schultz, USFS Southern Experimental Station
Doulglas-fir--Richard Hermann and Denis Lavender, Oregon State Univ.
Radiata Pine--Wink Sutton, Tasman Forestry, Rotorua NZ
Hybrid Poplars--Paul Heilman, Washington State University

The Forest Types we will "visit" include :

Short Rotation Fiber Plantations--Edgard Campinhos Jr. Aracruz, Brazil
Tree Farms and Forest Plantations--Rex McCullough, Weyerhaeuser Co.
Multiple Purpose Forests--Karen Barnette, USFS
Forests Planted for Ecosystem Restoration--Constance Harrington, PNW
Community Forests and Agroforestry Systems--Alan Long, Univ of Florida

A third day will explore several technical topics associated with
planted forests around the world.

The final day is composed of several field trip offerings to complete
your "world Tour".
