Getting into contact with other list-members

I am a Swedish PhD-student, a forester with an economic direction, who would
very much appreciate to get into touch with other researchers, willing to
share their experiences with me.

A short presentation of my project to give a breath idea of my research
question, could be the following:

My project title is "Financing in Acquisition of Non-Industrial Private
Forest Estates Considering Risk". For the time being, I am trying to
construct (if it is possible by means of already existing concepts; advices
are very welcome!) a financial model (a decision-making tool) contributing
to the preferable financial solution (the debt-to-equity ratio), especially
from the lender´s point of view, in connection with an acquisition of a
forest estate. The decision should also take the estate´s particular (mainly
the forest) conditions as well as the borrower´s preferences into
consideration.

I am in agreement with that the question at issue is more or less "adopted"
to Swedish conditions what concerns the situation of non-industrial private
forest estates, as I have accomplished a comprehensive literature review in
order to study what is written in connection to this subject. Most
references were found among data bases dealing largely with agriculture,
also assuming acquisition of assets with a long lifetime where the assets
are expected to be acquired by the use of capital in a strict sense owned or
borrowed by private individuals. Unfortunately, according to my experience
forestry approaches are almost totally lacking.

However, if you are interested in this type of problem, please tell me
(e-mail: gunnar.rutegard@sims.slu.se)!

Regards,
Gunnar R
