---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Tue, 30 May 1995 13:20:07 +1200 From: Mead, Donald James <MEADD@whio.lincoln.ac.nz> To: Fore057@csc.canterbury.ac.nz Subject: Vacancy in Forestry The Plant Science Department of Lincoln University, Canterbury, New Zealand is currently wishing to appoint a Lecturer in Forestry. The position is advertised to cover a range of forestry disciplines, including silviculture and agroforestry, biotechnology and genetics. There are, however, particularly good oportunities for a silviculturist with interests in forest soils, tree nutrition or tree physiology. Lincoln University has a strong developing programme in these areas, including studies based around two agroforestry trials, isotope studies, controlled environment facilities (we are currently purchasing a set of 9 Biotronic growth units to do basic nutrient studies) and we are in the process of planning a long-term trial on the effects of different tree species on soils. In addition we have developing programmes in other areas of silviculture and in forest biotechnology and forest ecology. Full details of the position and more information about the Department can be obtained from the World Wide Web at HTTP://WWW.lincoln.ac.nz/plsc/forevac.htm. Details of application procedures and conditions of appointment can be obtained from rhodesv@lincoln.ac.nz Could you please bring this information to the notice of anyone who might be interested.
