ISTF CONSULTANT SERVICE OPERATIONAL The International Society of Tropical Foresters has over 100 names entered in a member-consultant database and is accepting inquiries from organizations seeking consultants in tropical forestry. A wide array of specialties, country experience and language skills are represented, and each participant indicates the length of time they would be available for an assignment. Organizations needing consulting services can send their specifications to ISTF by letter, FAX, or E-Mail. If the specifications match the parameters provided by the consultant, his or her name and contact information will be forwarded to the requestor who then should contact the consultant for a resume or other information. ISTF will provide information on professional specialties, countries of experience, language proficiencies, educational background, and length of availability. The cost for each initial search is $30.00 for organizations that are ISTF members and $40.00 for nonmembers. Payment must accompany the search request. There is an additional $5.00 charge for each name generated and sent to the requestor with a maximum charge of $100.00 for the basic search and names listed for each request.
