CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT
On September 5-6, 1995 the Institute of Forest Ecology of
the Slovak Academy of Science in Zvolen, Faculty of Ecology and
Environmental Science of the Technical University in Zvolen and
Forest Research Institute in Zvolen will hold the Conference
"Insect and Environment". It will take place in the Institute of
Forest Ecology of the Slovak Academy of Science in Zvolen, the
Slovak Republic. It is aimed at the seventieth birthday of Doc.
RNDr. Jan Patocka, DrSc. distinguished Slovak lepidopterist.
Organizators would like for foreign and domestic entomologists
dealing with insect ecology to meet at the Conference. Your
participation is welcome and also your contributions in form of
lectures and posters are invited. Conference will be aimed at the
main problems of issue as follows:
- entomofauna and environment changes
- spatial distribution of insect and selection of habitats
- impact of forestry and agriculture on insect population
- protection of insect and its habitats
