I am looking for Research or Research/Teaching position in Ecology, Biology, Biophysics, Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources, or any interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary area that could benefit from my background and experience in Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Physics. I am very interested in all level mathematical modeling of ecological, biological, and related processes and phenomena: from various detailed ecophysiological processes to large-scale aggregated models. I earned my degrees (M.S. in Applied Mathematics and Ph.D. in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics) in Moscow, Russia. In 1990, I came to the USA and worked at the University of Arizona, then moved to Auburn University as a Research Associate, later being promoted to Senior Research Fellow. In 1994, I went to the University of Arkansas at Monticello where I am involved in modeling of forest ecosystems. Throughout my research career, I have worked on mathematical modeling of a variety of physical and natural phenomena. As a result, I have published over 60 research papers and a book and presented many conference talks and seminars. My experience with computers includes various computer platforms, such as SUN/UNIX, VAX/VMS, Macintosh PC, IBM PC (both DOS and WINDOWS environment), programming languages (FORTRAN, PL/1, PASCAL, VISUAL BASIC), and word processors (TeX, Microsoft Word, WordPerfect). An important part of my career has been teaching. At the University of Arizona and Auburn University I taught mathematics and physics and enjoyed it. I have also supervised a number of students for advanced degrees. I would be happy to provide interested person(s) with the detailed additional information such as vita, publication list, list of references, reprints of my papers, and other materials. Thank you.
