Dear colleagues, I was asked about the estimated weight of the world's largest tree. My Harlow & Harrar "Textbook of Dendrology" from 1950 says General Sherman, 6,000 tonnes (i.e. ca. 6100 Metric tons). Does anyone know other estimates ?
