Direct seeding plants (trees, shrubs and grasses) by airplanes has also been used successfully for decades in China. There may be tens of publications on this subject, but in Chinese. In North part of China, particularly in Northwest, rain fall is about 200-400 mm. It is there the air seeding started the first practice. I believe it is feasible to practice direct seeding in Saskatchewan. I am going to Sasktoon on April 27. If you feel neccessary, We may meet at Saskatoon. Yingmou Yao, PhD.
