Andrew,
I have had excellent experiences with the variety of husky hunter field 
computers I have used to do logging studies in Oregon and Canada.  They 
run DOS but I am not sure about Apple compatibility.  They have dealers 
across the USA but the address I have is for thier head office in the US.
