The European Forest Institute welcomes applications from senior 
forest researchers for a research scholarship.  The amount of the 
one-year scholarship is 30,000 ECU (net) and is intended for 
independent research at the European Forest Institute in Joensuu, 
Finland in one of the research priority areas of the Institute.  
These include: forest sustainability, forestry and global climate 
change, markets for forest products and services, policy analysis, 
and forest sector information.  Research plans for 6 months of work 
can also be submitted. Selection criteria are merits in research and 
the reseach plan's relevance to EFI's scope of activities. Deadline
