IUFRO S 4.02 and ICRAF are sponsoring an  International Conference on 
Domestication and Commercialization of Non-Timber Forest Products in 
Agroforestry Systems 19-23 Feb. 1996, Nairobi, Kenya. The objectives 
are to synthesize available information and to define future research 
agendas on the following themes - A. Product identification, 
assessment, and monitoring. B. Indigenous knowledge and ethonbotany. 
C. Product development and management (biological options, commercial 
opportunities). D. Product Domestication and adoption by farmes. E. 
Policy and Intitutional Aspects.  A call for papers and posters is 
open until 30 Sept. 1995.  registration fee will be 200 US Dollars.
