Graduate Research Assistantships- Sustainable Forest Landscapes Anticipated funding, for two positions beginning fall 1995. One PhD assistantship and one MS. Minimum two years funding for MS, three years minimum for PhD. Project will apply conservation biology and landscape ecology research to forest landscape design and management on the Pine Barrens region of northwest Wisconsin. Research will involve GIS, remote sensing, and spatial modeling of both landscape dynamics and species. This will be an inter-campus collaborative project, and indivduals are sought who can work and interact as a part of a research team. M. S. Assistantship: Computer modelling focus; applicants should be familiar with computer programming and statistics.
