I am real, Klaus. Too bad your mindset is getting in the way of your
open-mindedness.

I'm surprised that you jump to an unsubstantiated conclusion. Where did I
ever state that I oppose salvage cutting? You protesteth too much, my
friend.

And where did I ever claim that Mr. Fitzgerald and Dr. Osborn are
scientific sources?

You should learn to read better!

For the record:

As a professional in the field of waste prevention, I am appalled at the
waste of viable ecosystems caused by the US Forest Service, and the timber
industry in general.

Salvage cutting, as practiced by the US Forest Service, is used
predominantly as an excuse to enter roadless areas, and cut trees that
otherwise would not be part of the capable, available and suitable timber
base on the forest. You can quote me on that. And I don't need any
scientific references to support my allegation, either. My professional
judgment and experience tell me this.

Have a good day!
