--- Second call for papers and participation INTERNET APPLICATIONS AND ELECTRONIC INFORMATION RESOURCES IN FORESTRY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES Place: European Forest Institute, Joensuu, Finland Time: August 1-5, 1995 -- the week before IUFRO 20th World Congress A joint workshop of the IUFRO units S4.11-03 "Information Management" and S6.03-00 "Information Systems and Terminology". All the information concerning this workshop is available through the World Wide Web service at http://www.efi.joensuu.fi/ and in particular, at the workshop index page http://www.efi.joensuu.fi/cal-conf/iaeirfes/ Coverage: The workshop offers a tutorial about setting up, using, and accessing Internet services, and paper session for reviewing ongoing projects and existing network applications in forestry and related ecological and environmental sciences. Submission of papers: Submit full papers in HTML format by May 1st, 1995. Submit titles of papers as soon as possible with a registration. Papers will be subject to public review after May 1st, and they will be printed by the Swiss Federal Institute of Snow, Forest and Landscape Research. Registration: Registrate before July 14, 1995. Early registration is strongly recommended because the space is limited. Registration forms are available from the above mentioned Web service, or from Hannu Saarenmaa. Financial support opportunities: We have limited resources to support participants from the third world and other less advantageous countries. In particular, scientists travelling to the IUFRO 20th World Congress on IUFRO Special Fund for Developing Countries are eligible for additional funding to attend this workshop.
