The Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM) has been publishing The
Journal of Tropical Forest Science(JTFS) since 1988. Recently however, there
has been a backlog of articles, as we produce only four issues of JTFS a
year. We therefore found it necessary to separate articles on forest
products from those on forestry. We have thus decided to launch a new
referreed journal called "The Journal of Forest Products Technology". The
first issue will be published in March, 1995 and for a start we hope to
publish only two issues a year. Contributions and subscriptions are welcome.
