metla.forestry-list a couple of days ago. Today I got to know
that messages sent there are not redirected to this FOREST
distribution list (although it works the other way round). I
apologize to those who already read this message in the NEWS.

FORESTGEN
is a new e-mail discussion group for the forest genetics and
tree breeding community. The objective of the list is to take
full advantage of the rapidly growing INTERNET computer network
and bring tree geneticists throughout the world to discuss, ask
questions and exchange information. There are neither
restrictions to joining the group, nor any other rules. Anyone
with an interest in tree genetics is warmly welcomed.
To join the group, send the command

in the body of the message (leave the Subject: field empty) to
the list server MAJORDOMO@METLA.FI.
To send e-mail to the group itself, address your messages to
