EUROPEAN FOREST INSTITUTE - EFI is an independent, international
research institute conducting research on European forest resources,
their health, ecology and use, including the production, trade and
utilization of forest products. The Institute cooperates closely with
international organizations and national research institutions.

Joensuu City
RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP
The amount for a one-year scholarship is 30,000 ECU (net) and it is
intended for independent research at the European Forest Institute in
Joensuu, Finland, in one of the research priority areas of the
Institute. The priorities are: Forest Sustainability, Forestry and
Global Climate Change, Markets for Forest Products and Services, Policy
Analysis and Forest Sector Information Services. Research plans for 6
months of work can also be submitted. The main selection criteria are
the applicant's previous merits in research and the research plan's
relevance to EFI's scope of activities. The deadline for applications
is 30 March, 1995.
