JOB: Faculty of Forestry, University of Toronto

                      FACULTY OF FORESTRY
                     UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO


The Faculty of Forestry, University of Toronto, invites applications for two
positions commencing on July 1st, 1995, or as soon as possible thereafter. 
Applicants should have teaching and research interests in one or more of the
following areas:

-     Silviculture combined with ecosystem and wildlife habitat management, 
      tree improvement and genetics, pathology or forest conservation.

-     Forest policy; forest environmental impact assessment and auditing; 
      forest product certification.

-     Community forestry, social forestry and application of resource 
      economics to sustainable ecosystem-based forest management.

The Faculty currently offers MSc and PhD programmes and after June, 1996, a
new professional Master of Forest Conservation (M.F.C.) programme.  Appointees
will be expected to play an active role in research, graduate teaching and
development of the M.F.C. programme, together with some undergraduate
teaching in other faculties.

Both appointments will be at assistant professor level.  One will be in the 
tenure-stream and one will be a three-year contractually limited term 
appointment.
