Wanted: Collaboation with biology student groups, particularly within ecological genetics. I am a Swedish university teacher in forest genetics preparing a PhD-course, three credits, in Genetics of small populations. The course is focused on three main topics: 1. Role of stochastic events in the evolution of small populations 2. Equilibrium, non-equilibrium and chaos as models for genetic dynamics in small populations 3. Management of genetic diversity in small populations My students are expected to use Internet in their search for relevant knowledge required for solving the assignments they will be given within the topics stated above. In their work during the course, I would like them to get in contact with student groups and courses focused on similar subjects during the spring semester ( the course will take place April 24 - May 12) for discussions and possibly cooperation in their work to solve the assignments given to them. Therefore, I would like to get in contact with university teachers out there on the net, preparing for similar courses during spring semester 1995, willing to connect internationally, offering the students a wider perspective on their subject and assisting them in establishing international contacts. Please, distribute to teachers and students that you believe may be interested, Sincerely Kenneth Lundkvist Associate professor in forest genetics ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Kenneth Lundkvist Dept of Forest Genetics Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences Box 7027 S-750 07 Uppsala, Sweden Phone: +46 18 67 12 42 Fax: +46 18 67 27 18 E-mail: kenneth.lundkvist@sgen.slu.se ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
