I am setting up a project to determine the wood machining properties of our lesser known wood species in British Columbia. The only guidance that I have so far is the ASTM D 1666-87 or as it is called "Standard methods for conducting machining tests of wood and wood-based materials". This standard may be acceptable to North American wood users but what about European or Asian wood users. Does anyone know of other wood machining standards/ methods that I might incorporate in these tests? If you have the information that I am searching for please forward it to me at any of the following addresses: e-mail Derek@van.forintek.ca mailing address Derek Williams Secondary Wood Processing Specialist Forintek Canada Corp. 2665 East Mall Vancouver, B.C.
