Dear network foresters:  I have been asked to develop a short training
course for 8 Nicaraguan foresters in a voluntary assignment for a Farmer to
Farmer program of an international development organization.  The training
is on soil classification, management and conservation of forest soils.  I
am an agronomist with training in soil chemistry and classification and I am
interested in obtaining information on soil mapping for forest soil land use
planning.  If anyone has any suggestions for contacts or resource material,
or might be interested in collaborating with the training, please respond.
The training has been requested to begin in Nov. or Dec. of this year and
include 3 weeks of classroom instruction on theory, followed by 1 week of
