			Anticipated Post-Doctoral Position

LOCATION:		The University of British Columbia
			Department of Wood Science
			Vancouver, Canada

DURATION:		1-2 years

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:	Studies of heat and mass transfer phenomena 
			during conventional and dielectric/vacuum drying 
			of wood. The objective of the project is the 
			understanding and modelling of the drying processes.

			This project involves laboratory and 
			modelling/computer work.

QUALIFICATIONS:		Ph.D. degree in Wood Science, Chemical 
			Engineering or related field.

			Solid background and research experience in the 
			areas of heat and mass transfer, as well as, modelling
			of the drying process of hygroscopic porous materials 
			is required. Experience with numerical analysis is 
			also a must.
