The course begins at the University of Reading where participants are given an intensive and practical course in the use of microcomputers, statistical methods, and basic experimental design and analysis. At Oxford the course will be given a forestry perspective. The emphasis is on the growing side rather than on utilisation and on tropical rather than temperate.
