Regarding Coby Needles' request for a suitable mathematics bulletin board
or discussion list similar to this one: A list of most currently active
discussion lists can be easily obtained from most of the listservers that
operate the dicussion lists. Note that at present, there are approximately
6000 discussion lists worldwide on the internet, many of which are related to
mathematics. Now, whether they are related to forestry applications, I'm
not sure, but a short note to the list owners (or managers) should help in
this regard. To obtain a list of all the currently known discussion lists,
send the following one-line message to LISTSERV@ARIZVM1.CCIT.ARIZONA.EDU:
"lists global"
Of course, this command can be sent to any node where the listserver software
is installed. The only drawback to this is that you will always find at least
five more discussion lists you wish to join, which can overwhelm your mailbox
and your senses. Good luck...
