A permanent position is available with George Banzhaf & Company, a
nationally recognized forest resource consulting firm located in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Position: Assistant Resource Analyst
Primary Duties: Design, maintain and manage databases; aid senior analyst
with library research and preliminary data analysis; perform field
research, interviews, archival searches and some forest mensuration;
design and implement surveys; process forestry field data using
various computer software; and support staff with knowledge of
software use and techniques.
Qualifications: This is considered to be an entry level position. A
strong academic background in forest economics, management,
accounting, finance and statistics with some exposure to field
forestry techniques is necessary. Candidates must be highly computer
literate in spreadsheets, database management and word processing
(prefer Quattro Pro, Paradox, and Wordperfect), with an ability to
develop scripts and macros for ad hoc documented applications, and a
willingness to learn new software. Good interpersonal, written and
oral communication skills are required and an openness to travel for
extended periods.
