As a consequence of three retirements, the University of Canterbury
invites applications for the positions of Chair (Professor),
Senior Lecturer/Lecturer, and Lecturer in the School of Forestry.

Applications are sought from specialists with an outstanding record of
research leadership in any area of forestry or wood science. This will
be a full-time, tenured appointment and the appointee will be expected
to serve for a period of time as Head of Department. The title of
Professor is the most senior academic rank at New Zealand universities
and the salary for this position is within the range NZ$80,000 to
NZ$100,000 per annum.

Applications are also sought from suitably qualified specialists in any
area of forestry or wood science for two positions, as above. Each of
these positions may be filled by single or joint appointments, either
tenured or contract. Applicants for a tenured position should have a
Ph.D. degree or quivalent. The salary range for Senior Lecturers is from
NZ$53,000 to NZ$68,000 per annum and for Lecturers is on a scale from
NZ$40,000 to NZ$50,000 per annum.
