The Australian National University in Canberra is seeking to appoint a
second Professor of Forestry who will commence duties in early 1995 and be
expected to assume responsibilities as Head of Department within a year of
appointment.  The Department is one of only two forestry schools in
Australia and has strong undergraduate and postgraduate programs.  The
successful applicant will have basic training in Forestry and
qualifications to teach and research in some area of forest management or
forest science, and will have experience and demonstrated success in team
management &/or university administration.  Knowledge of, and experience
in, forestry in Australia will be an advantage.
