The Tri-Cities Harald had an article today, probably AP. If you
need I could smail it. They gave some names, including the
Calif. woman in charge of the A.A. program there. Bill Reid
<d3h549@grouse.pnl.gov> in Richland, WA.

<<<<<Reid did fax me this 1 page article. It is a short piece on
the role of women in the U.S. Forest service. For example, the
article says that by 1992, 40 percent of the 32,000 USFS employees
nation wide are women, including 10 of the 122 national forest
supervisors and 100 of the 671 district rangers, with California
leading the other states. If you need a copy, please send me your
     fax number>>>>>.

Dear Willy
Vol 36, No 146 (1984/4) of Unasylva is devoted to the subject of
women in forestry. Also, the Feb 1992 (No 15/16) edition of Forests,
Trees and People has some relevant articles (as do other issues of
the same newsletter). I'd be interested to see a list of other
references that you may receive.
